Coaching for Teens
Parents want their teenagers to happily and confidently make responsible choices - to own their personal health, practice good hygiene, develop healthy relationships, keep up on their chores, build competency with money, and enthusiastically tackle schooling and extracurricular activities. Often those hopes and dreams are met with teenage rebellion and family division as teenagers (and parents) face another consequence and another lecture about what they should be doing. It can become a vicious cycle.
This is not therapy.
Therapy involves the processing of events and trauma in a client’s history with a goal to heal from that trauma, find some relief, or “closure.” Often therapy involves clinical diagnosis and treatment plans. It can last several weeks or many years.

Teen Coaching starts today, with the present, and looks forward. Coaching helps your teen take action on today’s hopes, dreams, and challenges. Coaching does not offer or attempt to make a diagnosis.
